Indepedence Day Blog Hop

It's that time of year when watermelons are chillin', grills are heating up, firecrackers are ready to light, and Americans celebrate with "Star-spangled happiness and banner waves of pride" (Cherishe Archer)!

Welcome to Your Scrapbook Place Patriotic Blog Hop!

The theme is love of America and the color RED.  This is the starting place, and below you will find the hop order.  We have an awesome digital image to give away to one lucky hopper, along with a patriotic-themed  goodie bag!

Designers are using that special image from one of their own, Pammie Lehto.
Each participating designer is in the running for prizes, too, so leave a little love at each blog along the way.  If you become a follower, let us know who sent you, so that design team member gets a chance for a Crop-a-Dile Big Bite!!

Let's see how our design team celebrates their love of America.

First up is Linda, the co-owner of the group and artist extraordinaire.  She's using a Squigglefly digi image called Support Our Troops by artist Lynne Stansbery.  You can ger it FREE here!

Next up is Carolyn.  Her mix of patterned papers has won her lots of praise from bloggers and stamp designers alike.
Karissa's card uses our special digi image by Pammie, with fireworks blazing behind it.
Teresa also uses the digi image by Pammie, coloring the flowers deep red and adding a flower embellishment.
My card is next.  I used some jeweled trim in red, white & blue, colored a mini paper doily to frame my image, and added the USA dog tags to remind me that my son is helping to preserve the freedoms and rights of Americans in his service in the Army reserves.

Now for the HOPPING!  Below is the order of blogs to hop to, ending back here to let us know if you enjoyed yourself.  And enjoy this holiday that is unique to the USA!

  4. All the cards were wonderful! I love seeing how different people make different cards with the same image. That is amazing how they were so different and beautiful. That isn't saying the ones using a different image were not beautiful because they were. It was a great hop.
